1982 Kenner Strawberry Shortcake Doll [Mexico Variant]

This is a Kenner SSC but it was made by Lili Ledy in Mexico. It remained a mystery to me for years until I found one in a sealed box. The box actually says Made in Mexico on the bottom flap (not included). Her body is not marked (others are all marked Made in Hong Kong). She is from my personal collection and was featured in my book. Her hat is attached and she's in gorgeous condition.

She does come with her original Custard but it's a faded pink color with messed up face paint. This is how they are usually found unless they're sealed in the box. There's something about the white paint that they used; it didn't hold up well.
